Ofsted

We are inspected under the same Ofsted criteria as primary schools, rather than those used for early years settings in the private and voluntary sector, with longer, more thorough inspections.

As a maintained nursery school we cater solely for 3 to 4 year olds. We introduce focused activities in small groups and develop independence in readiness for primary school.

Our last Ofsted Inspection was on 19th and 20th November 2014, you can see the full report on the Ofsted website by following this link:

We were found to be OUTSTANDING for 'Behaviour and Safety of Pupils'.

'Staff are well deployed, have high expectations of the children and a good understanding of he priciples of early years education. They also understand that children learn in different ways. This leads to teaching that is consistenly good. There is a good balance of focused activities where children work in small groups with their key person or engaging in their self-chosen activities.'

Overall we were found to be GOOD - 'A good school is effective in delivering outcomes that provide well for all its pupils’ needs. Pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment.'
